In focus - Shirts and skirts
Things are heating up and we are excited to welcome back our signature summer look; the lobster shirts and skirts. Inspired by warmer climates and beachside living, the shirts brighten up your wardrobe and your day. The origin of our annual printed shirt dates back to the early days of Jam when Andrew and Mark worked side by side with the Island street fisherman in Salcombe; the boys selling clothes, and the rest selling crab. Andrew felt the desperate need to design something that would pay homage to the west country's most luxurious exports... crabs and lobsters. Since then, the popularity of our annual print has grown, and a new limited edition version is released every year.
This years update, which Andrew believes is the nicest yet, was less his brain child and more Izzy's (by his own admission). When it comes to the summer, nobody loves hot weather more than Izzy Lewis! Made using a linen-cotton blend our popular summer 24 print just had to include a palm tree, following her annual pilgrimage to Central America, Izzy took some more tropical inspiration for this years design and paired it with our west country roots.
Dress up, down, or borrow your partners and wear as a beach cover-up. As with all our collections, the prints are designed to be shared. The light, airy linen-cotton packs small for the summer getaways we know you've already booked!
Following such high returning demand for the prints, we decided to boost our offering this season with a classic Ra Ra skirt too, more specifically designed for our womenswear collection.
These Ra Ra printed skirts are the most comfortable item that you will own this summer, with an elasticated waist band to slip on and off effortlessly between ocean dips. We recommend pairing with one of our signature white t-shirts, tucked in or hanging oversized. For the cooler days, pair it with the new Maddy jumper, it sits perfectly relaxed over the waistband of the skirt.
The lobster and palm prints emanate vibrant summer energy and are definitely ‘a vibe’. If you want to lowkey, stand out at your summer events then these are the staples for you.
